It was all fun and games at Lucan Educate Together on October 14 as the school community celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the school and twenty years learning together!
Attended by the schools’ pupils and staff, present and past, their extended families and members of the wider community, there was something for everyone on the day including face painting, bouncy castles, sports activities, treasure hunts, arts and crafts and a wonderful collection of dance, drama and other entertainment from Bollywood dancing to Tai Chi, Hip Hop and traditional Bulgarian and Chinese dancing.
The food rooms, in particular, were hugely popular with lots of goodies for the children and a fantastic array of home-made dishes from around the world. Visitors were met by the most wonderful aromas of curries, spices and fresh baked cakes and treats.
From its humble beginnings in a windowless (and furniture-less!) Scout Den to today's beautiful school there is certainly much to celebrate. We would like to thank everyone in our school community and in the wider ET community, including the ET national office for all the support and help throughout 20 years and we look forward to many more years of learning together.
