Many congratulations to the pupils of Carrigaline Educate Together NS who won the The Aileen MacKeogh Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film Making for their film 'Power Out' at the 10th FÍS Film Festival awards ceremony on 4 November. And a huge 'well done' to the pupils of Wicklow ETNS who won the Outstanding Achievement in Film Making for Social Issues for their fim 'Dexter'.
FÍS is a successful film project currently thriving in primary schools across Ireland. The initiative encourages children to explore the medium of film in the primary classroom developing essential skills in moving-image literacy, communication, teamwork, visual arts and numeracy. Great work!
