Kylie Kinsella – Communications Officer
Kylie’s interest in equality-based education came from her experience working as a language and culture instructor in Spain. During her time there, she observed the significant challenges posed by a static education system, including resistance to change and inadequate support for students with additional needs. Moreover, they witnessed firsthand how children from marginalised backgrounds faced substantial barriers to their education. These experiences fueled Kylie’s determination to broaden her understanding of human rights in both a local and global context.
Kylie received their dual-major BA in English, as well as Women and Gender Studies. She specialised in Domestic Violence Prevention and Services and worked as a Domestic Violence Advocate in her home state of Delaware, in the United States. After moving to Ireland in 2019, she earned an MA in Gender, Globalisation and Human Rights from the University of Galway. She has experience in communications and operations for grassroots groups like the Community Policy Initiative and non-profits like Network Delaware, LGBT Ireland and One Family Ireland.
As Communications Officer, Kylie will assist in implementing strategic communication plans to effectively convey the message of Educate Together, enhance its public image and engage with stakeholders across various platforms.
