Educate Together, Ireland’s equality-based school patron, has appointed Julia Bauer as the organisation’s new Fundraising and Communications Officer.
Julia has a number of years of experience working in the higher education and charity sectors, gained through her time as a Development Officer at Trinity Development & Alumni and as Donor Care & Fundraising Manager at Friends of the Earth. Julia holds a Bachelors Degree in Music from Trinity College Dublin.
A past pupil of North Bay Educate Together National School, Julia knows first-hand the importance and impact of having an equality-based education and an ethos that prepares students to be caring and active members of a culturally diverse society.
Julia is joining the team as Educate Together is launching a new strategic plan and fundraising strategy, and will have particular responsibility for individual giving, community fundraising and corporate partnerships. Julia will be leading on fundraising appeals and online initiatives and will build and foster relationships with Educate Together’s growing alumni and donor networks. She will also assist with the delivery of the organisation’s communications and advocacy objectives.
Educate Together is independent NGO and educational charity that is redefining standards in inclusive, learner-centred education. It is providing a long-overdue choice of equality-based primary and second-level schools for thousands of families in Ireland. As a charity, Educate Together relies on the work of volunteers, charitable donations, and partnerships to keep us going and growing.
