Educate Together is delighted to announce the appointment of Matthew Quinn as Deputy Principal of Goatstown/Stillorgan Educate Together Secondary School.
A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Matthew has taught music, history, SPHE and CSPE in a variety of school settings. During the past 8 years at Coláiste Éanna, Matthew established and led a new music department. As assistant principal at Coláiste Éanna, Matthew led the Anti-Bullying Team, a Junior Cycle Management Team, the Droichead Professional Support Team and was a valued member of the Student Support Team. He has supported schools with the implementation of the Junior Cycle Reform as an Associate on the JCT Whole School Team.
Passionate about restorative practice and parity of esteem between the journey and the destination in education, Matthew said the following about his appointment:
“It is a huge privilege to be appointed as deputy principal of Goatstown/Stillorgan Educate Together. I look forward to playing my part in the creation of this wonderful school, by supporting all members of the school community in achieving academic success, whilst nurturing holistic development of the whole child.”
