“We have made the difficult decision, along with our patron Educate Together, to postpone opening of our new school until September 2022.
While a significant number of students were initially enrolled for the school, following its sanction in February 2021, uncertainty around the temporary location of the school resulted in the enrolment numbers understandably diminishing in recent months. The initial proposed temporary accommodation on Kill Lane became unavailable for us in June, and the subsequent accommodation option proved too inaccessible for many of our families.
With insufficient enrolment numbers to create the sustainable, vibrant and dynamic learning environment we envision for our school, we have postponed opening until September 2022.
Educate Together is now working intensively with the Department of Education in its efforts to source suitable temporary accommodation for the school to open in September 2022 to serve the Sallynoggin_Killiney area.
Enrolments for Junior Infants starting school September 2022 will commence on 4th October 2021.”
