Educate Together campaign groups

Today, Educate Together operates a national network of 118 schools in Ireland – 97 primary and 21 second-level, catering to over 40,000 students.

Demand continues to grow for Educate Together’s model of education and the school network has grown substantially in recent years. There are currently two main ways new Educate Together schools can open:

    1. The Government may decide to open new schools in response to population growth. Educate Together and local parent-led campaign groups will assess the demand and may launch a #VoteEducateTogether campaign for patronage. If you are interested in being part of a parent-led campaign group, contact newschools@educatetogether.ie.
    2. The Government has recently committed to carrying out a nationwide survey of parents regarding education and school patronage. We are hopeful that this will help Educate Together to identify schools where parents exhibit a strong interest in transitioning to equality-based model of education. More information here.

New schools

The Department of Education has announced that new schools may soon open in the following areas:

Educate Together will assess the demand in each of these areas and may launch a #VoteEducateTogether campaign for patronage. We will update this web page with developments as soon as we hear more from the Department. Further information on the Online Patronage Preference Survey programme can be found here.
